Copyright Policy
LETRAS maintains an open-access policy that grants authors the freedom to publish and disseminate their articles in other electronic media (personal websites, institutional repositories, blogs, etc.) under the terms of the CC BY-NC-SA 4.0 license, provided they include bibliographic information indicating the journal as the original source. This is permitted only after the article has been published by the journal.
- The journal LETRAS retains the copyright to the published works, which encourages and permits their reuse under the Creative Commons Attribution-NonCommercial-ShareAlike 4.0 license; therefore, they may be copied, used, distributed, transmitted, and publicly displayed, provided that the authorship and original source of the publication (journal, publisher, URL, and DOI of the work) are cited, they are not used for commercial or profit-making purposes, and the existence and specifications of this license are mentioned. If you remix, transform, or build upon the material, you must distribute your contribution under the same license as the original.
Authors submitting a manuscript must include a cover letter requesting that it be reviewed by peer reviewers and considered for publication in the journal. They must also indicate their willingness to serve as a peer reviewer in their field should their manuscript be accepted. It is understood that the author agrees to abide by these editorial guidelines. The letter must include the following information: the author’s address, landline and cell phone numbers, and email address. In the case of two or more authors, each must submit their own letter.
- See the letter for the Request for Review, Declaration of Originality, and Acknowledgment of Copyright.
