SOCIAL FACTORS INVOLVED IN THE EDUCATIONAL PROCESS OF PHYSICAL EDUCATION IN THE CURRENT CONTEXT

A scientific article is presented that addresses the social factors that intervene in the educational process of physical education in the current context, with the purpose of offering an interpretive analysis that leads to understanding the incidence of various factors associated with the social transformations that have been developing in society in recent years with repercussions in the educational field and in relation to the teaching and learning process of physical education, recreation and sport in school institutions in Norte de Santander, Colombia; adding, the importance of starting with a review of the curricular documents where the guidelines that support the purposes pursued by the learning area are established and to be able to verify with the realities observed in school institutions as well as in the lifestyles of children and adolescents today, which differs from what is expected to be achieved from physical education towards the integral formation and development of students, which forces a reflection on pedagogical practices in these times of changes in the interests and motivations of those who come to school in search of satisfying the need for knowledge for life; in this sense, it is intended to address significant factors that are presumed to be influencing the educational process of physical education, highlighting the effects of indifference towards physical activity in terms related to physical and mental health, social interrelations and lifestyles of children and adolescents in these times of transformations; Concluding that physical education is essential for the acquisition and consolidation of healthy habits aimed at achieving a healthy quality of life through effective comprehensive development of the individual.
