This research examines the existing bilingualism gap in Colombia's agricultural sector, specifically within the technical training offered by the National Learning Service (SENA), a Colombian public institution under the Ministry of Labor. Although English is considered a cross-cutting competency according to Law 119, enacted in 1994, rural apprentices often face limitations and barriers to accessing and understanding the content. To address this, an educational mobile application is proposed, integrating English language learning into the rural environment. Various results demonstrate that this tool significantly reduces resistance to language use, enabling a better, more specialized technical vocabulary in a globalized world and strengthening opportunities for innovation and technological adaptation. The theoretical framework for this research draws on authors such as Montiel et al (2020), regarding the pedagogical use of applications, and Rocha and Martínez (2015), who analyze workplace bilingualism in Colombia. Furthermore, it is based on the theses of Maksan and Sukri (2025) on how English proficiency impacts competitiveness, and on Nolla-Domenjó and Palés-Argullós (2020) regarding the development of teaching competencies. In conclusion, the implementation of this mobile technology proves to be a high-impact strategy for democratizing knowledge and ensuring that the country's technological development effectively includes the agricultural sector.
