Abstract

The management of Educational Technology constitutes a research field that analyzes pedagogical efforts aimed at incorporating information systems, software, and digital devices into the official curriculum defined by national education authorities. The general objective is to integrate digital information systems as a strategy to improve results in periodic evaluations related to the language area for fifth grade at the Patrulleritos Sumapaz school. The methodological proposal involved adapting the principles of behaviorism, from a neo-behaviorist perspective, to the design of activities mediated by digital technologies. Traditional lectures and materials were replaced with interactive computer resources, such as animated content and educational software, to promote meaningful knowledge acquisition by students To evaluate the impact of the intervention, the results of internal assessments applied periodically before and after the technological implementation were compared. Prior performances showed average levels in reading comprehension, writing, and mastery of basic concepts in the area. After the incorporation of digital content, significant improvements in academic performance levels were evident. The findings support the potential of Educational Technology as an innovative resource for language teaching, favoring more dynamic and contextualized learning processes. Additionally, they strengthen students' preparation for state tests while highlighting the need to rethink traditional pedagogical practices from a critical and technology- mediated perspective.
