In the following article, the importance of conducting a documentary review on the impact of the existing dynamics between the family nucleus and the school is discussed as a determining factor that allows generating and strengthening the motivation of children and adolescents attending educational institutions in Colombian territory, with the aim of improving behavior, decision-making, and academic performance of students. In this study, a series of official documents existing at the international and national levels will be examined, as well as references from important authors and highly relevant publications in the educational field regarding motivation as a fast track that guarantees the consolidation of meaningful learning and, therefore, the development of critical thinking in students. In the content of the writing, didactic strategies will be laid out that can be applied at home and at school with the aim of optimizing communication among the educational actors (parents, guardians, students, teachers, among others), creating initiatives that lead parents and/or guardians to commit to the education of their children and to maintain a constant relationship with the teachers.
