PEDAGOGICAL ACTIVITY IN THE CLASSROOM AT THE BASIC AND MIDDLE LEVELS IN THE COLOMBIAN CONTEXT

Abstract

This article aims to disseminate classroom teaching experiences by systematizing information from the course of continuous schooling for more than 25 years; synthesizing teaching practices and analyzing methods and practices that help strengthen student learning. This research was conducted through daily interaction, observation, recording, and collaborative work, primarily through teacher mentoring during the secondary school cycle, and some insights from the co-author from the elementary level. It revealed processes regarding the advantages of pedagogical follow-up with the same students for more than five years; the study of psychological and emotional factors at critical ages; the influence of school on the development of character and personality; and the role of sex education and its influence on life plans. A very important factor in this experience is observing the influence of the environment on the development of skills and abilities in the construction of individual goals in a region where the culture, traditions, beliefs, and temperament of the Llanera men and women prevail over other interests of current reality; studying each of the influencing factors such as the social context, dreams and interests, and the role of the family in supporting the young person in training. This monitoring is reinforced by theoretical considerations that support the findings in this report. As concluding aspects, it is confirmed that constant monitoring and interaction with students develop dialogic processes, conviviality, and always reflective spaces that contribute to the cognitive, emotional, and personal development of each student.
