THE CHALLENGES OF TEACHING TODAY: BETWEEN UNCERTAINTY AND EDUCATIONAL TRANSFORMATION.

Abstract

Currently, the teaching profession is experiencing a labyrinth of uncertainty that makes daily work difficult. Many factors influence education (especially for teachers): social inequality, family breakdown, emotional weakness, and technological and communication overload. The needs of the context are determining factors in the work of teachers, who have an inescapable commitment to transform their educational practices, making teaching-learning methods more flexible and adapting them to the individual and collective needs of the school environment. Consequently, teachers face many challenges that force them to engage in more structured, personalized planning processes, considering the wholeness and development of the individual as part of a context, a community (which is sometimes special and unique), which has a duty to itself and to others to provide a healthy living environment, accepting multiculturalism, thoughts, and differences in tastes and beliefs. This essay is developed from a critically reflective perspective, with arguments that articulate pedagogical knowledge based on theoretical and testimonial sources that support the topic. In summary, it presents an analysis that positions transformation as an alternative that will lead teaching to establish guidelines, follow processes, and execute dynamics that seek comprehensive development, harmonizing the curriculum, including cultural, geographical, and historical factors of the context, so that it is renewed, constructive, and conducive to the social, economic, political, and cultural development of the individual.
